Founded in 1969 by designer Rei Kawakubo, fashion house Comme des Garçons has always been known for its avant garde style, its clothing being more akin to artistic concept than simple fashion. Finding success outside Kawakubo’s native Japan in the 1980s, the following decade Comme des Garçons expanded into producing fragrances, with Comme des Garçons Parfums. The first eponymous fragrance was launched in 1994 and created by Mark Buxton, who went on to design several more. In 1992, the artist Christian Astuguevieille met the designer Rei Kawakubo in Japan. From this unexpected encounter, born a true collaboration.
Christian Astuguevieille became in 1994, the artistic director for Comme des Garçons Perfume. At all creations he imposed a leitmotiv: "stimulate our five senses, shake our perceptions, always wonder."
Fiery red metal, cool to the touch. Luminous berries atop darkened leaves. COPPER is an olfactive interrogation of perceived differences and their harmonious alignment. A blend of distinct olfactive components: vivid pinks positioned against deep greens. Bright contrasts reveal new clarity. Ingredients found across the globe find unity in a single scent.Comme des Garçons
We are delighted to announce the release of our fourth Monocle X Comme des Garçons collaboration “ Yoyogi “ inspired by morning jogs in Tokyo’s Yoyogi Park with its damp, sweet and green notes. A woody lead from cypress with notes of freshly mown grass enhanced by vetiver and patchouli.Comme des Garçons
Eau de Parfum (woody, spicy).A modern enigma. A revolution of perfuses lainera narrative, there is a permanent depth to its character; no dissolution of its darnes, no recession from intensity. Encased within an amorphous, tactile flask of mesmerizing midnight gloss, its form is as captivating as its fragrance.Comme des Garçons
Eau de Parfum (woody, floral). The air of a park filled with Osmanthus trees in blossom. A fresh spicy breeze with pepper and frankincense.Comme des Garçons

Eau de Parfum (chypre, floral).A fragrance that works as a medicine and behaves as a medicament. This was the first bottle held horizontally like a stone at the bottom of a stream. It is addictive, elevates the spirit, brings a positive feeling. It is comforting, with exotic woody and spicy notes.Comme des Garçons
Eau de Cologne. Built around a 14th century monastery, the Russian holy spot of Zagorsk lends its name to this fragrance. Zagorsk opens with a surge of crisp pine and cedar. At its heart is an almost clean feeling… like pinecones strewn on brand-new snow on a dark winter's eve.Comme des Garçons

An evocation of exuberance. A positive overdose of woods, woody notes and synthetic wood constructions (wood gone mad).Comme des Garçons
