Extrait de Parfum (chypre, woody ). I do not have hands that caress my face. Filippo Sorcinelli has dedicated the sixth fragrance of UNUM to Mario Giacomelli, in tribute to the extraordinary work of this great Italian photographer.
The essence name reveals a fascinating history: in 1961 Giacomelli came in contact with a group of young students of the Episcopal seminary of Senigallia. With the permission of the curia began to photograph their moments of leisure after the long hours of study and prayer in preparation for the church life. Giacomelli named the series of photos of seminarians at first “Pretini”, then after decided to name it with a verse of a poem by David Maria Turoldo, " Io non ho mani che mi accarezzino il volto " (I do not have hands that caress my face), linking those images to a precise concept, to a not easy choice.
