Alexandra Carlin

Fascinated by the power of words, Alexandra has always been drawn to the world of literature. Often inspired by places and atmospheres described in books, she likes to translate them through her own compositions. She has a natural artistic sensibility and appreciates all forms of self-expression through movement, such as horse riding and dance.
Perfumery revealed itself as a vocation and as a way of telling stories when she was 18 years old. Determined to find fulfillment as a perfumer, she entered the Institut Supérieur International Du Parfum (ISIPCA) in Versailles in 2002 and joined Symrise as a Junior Perfumer in 2007.
She works mainly with essential oils that fascinate her and whose multiple facets she tirelessly exploits, producing very personal, intimate and modern creations recognized with prestigious awards.A natural storyteller, her perfumes full of nuances and multiple layers are always an invitation to travel and introspection.
