Guardians of perfume since 1916, our history covers five generations and more than 100 years of making unique scents that awaken the five senses.
Since 2009, Ramon Monegal Masó, Spain’s master perfumer and academic, has been in charge of Monegal perfumes, while training the family’s next generation of perfumers.

Ramon Monegal is descended from a long line of distinguished Spanish and Barcelonan perfumers. He is the fourth generation of the Casa Myrurgia which was the royal family’s official perfumier and Spain’s most important international perfume maker.
He  began his training in Barcelona, continued in Geneva, then in Grasse and finally in Paris. After 30 years he became a Master Perfumer and faced a double challenge.
Firstly, to create excellence of the kind that only a luxury product offer and, secondly, he began to share his knowledge and craft with the next generations of the family who are certain to follow in his footsteps.
My project as an author is to combine artisanship with technology rooted in the values of classic perfumes: originality, exclusivity in order to create personalised or unique works that convey a message and an aesthetic.

Ramon Monegal's Parfums are olfactory images without genre and whose messages have been imagined and interpreted with the skill acquired and the art that comes from experience and the language of the ingredients.
Composes in Barcelona, on the shores of the Mediterranean, the origin of European culture and cradle of Spanish perfume and design. 

The ingredient is the key component of the perfume, its fundamental principle, its quintessencequintessence and also the basis of the olfactory language with which I express myself. Nature is the primary source of inspiration and it provides the perfumer with oils in the form of absolute, concrete scents, resins and infusions, extracted from plants from around the world. At the same time, laboratories can isolate, reproduce and invent surprising molecules with new smells which perfumers use in our compositions.
In the end, a good perfume is one that strikes a balance between natural scents and chemical molecules to make a work of the imagination a reality.

Ramon Monegal, master perfumer and international role model, is a pioneer in the concept of the olfactory image, communicating personal images through perfume.
We are all aware of our visual image but not everyone is conscious that this is complemented by the olfactory image that perfume produces. Both need to be worn well and in harmony because perfume announces someone’s presence and lingers in their absence. It projects an image and defines a personality. It displays attitudes, reveals values and implies status. It evokes memories and provokes feelings. It communicates confidence and adds to style and glamour. It lays bare and demonstrates presence.
