Scented Candle. Diptyque wanted to express the duality of mimosa in a fragrance, conveying its warm, sunshiny radiance and its wonderful, soft sweetness. Mimosas, releasing a perfume drenched in straw and honey, blossom across hills that look out onto the distant sea.
Provencal legend has it that the mimosa blooms in winter because it remembers its southern flowering date. The tree heralds the coming spring and the return of daylight. The blooms are given as a sign of thoughtfulness and sensitivity. In the language of flowers, mimosa represents sensitivity.
