AETHER

Le Secret du Marais | Perfume AETHER

The founder of ÆTHER, Nicolas Chabot wanted to pay tribute to synthetic molecules: musk, ethanol, ambrox and cetalox. These same notes can be found in traditional perfumery, but remain in the background. His unconventional conception required perfumers with an uncommon career and a non-formatted vision. ÆTHER was born in June 2016.
By prejudice, synthetic molecules have a bad reputation, however it can sometimes be more expensive than many natural molecules. For example, synthetic notes are often used in perfumes as a fixer (musk, ambroxan, etc). By freeing the conventions of traditional perfumery or "mono-synthetic" fragrances ÆTHER innovates this time on complex formulations and 100% synthetic. To better understand the world of synthetic notes, Nose recommends: the book "Esprit de synthèse" of Lionel Paillès.
With a major MBA degree from the Sorbonne CELSA, Nicolas Chabot is specialized in luxury and cosmetics. Nowadays, he's the general and artistic director of ÆTHER perfumes. He allows the free rein of olfactive creativity to the perfumers Amélie Bourgeois and Anne-Sophie Behaghel, that created this poetic collection with 100% synthetic notes.
